When choosing your preferred company there are several routes you can take to ensure you can rely on who you have chosen.

(1) Do background checks…

Speak in depth to the representatives about the company, how and when it was established, the area they cover and if they are part of any other companies. This should indicate to you how much stability in the industry the company have are working with. If they are long established and they offer their own product guarantee then it is likely they will still be around for the full duration of that guarantee. Smaller and/or newer companies may raise some alarm bells.

(2) Visit them…

Many companies do have show room areas where you can see the products they are installing, so it is a good idea to see and try these out in person. It also means you will get an insight into the size of the company and how they work.

(3) Recommendations…

Find out from friends, family and neighbours who they personally recommend. Many companies heavily rely on word-of-mouth and repeat business. There also some excellent independent reviewing websites with testimonials from their actual customers. Norfolk’s main one is the ‘Norfolk Trusted Trader‘ scheme which is run by Norfolk Trading Standards. Each company is vetted and checked before being allowed on the scheme to ensure to consumers that they will have a good experience.
